: : : Wow, I can't believe there is a site for the Ashbaugh family, so cool.

: : : I'm Angela. My father was John Dennis Ashbaugh of Greensburg and Hempfield PA. His Father was also John, but I'm not sure of his middle name, as he died before my birth. My Grandfather married Nellie Kabbolough (sp?) of Grapeville PA. If anyone here knows whom I'm referring to, drop me a line. I'd love to learn some of my family history, but everyone that I know of is deceased.

: :
: : Do you have any dates for the Ashbaughs you Mention? I have numerous John Ashbaughs who have a father named John as well. Locations of and dates of events such as birth, death and marriage are sometimes very helpful. Hope to hear more from you.

: My father John D. Ashbaugh was born in Grapeville (Greesnburg area) of PA in 1948. His Father was also John (no middle name) Ashbaugh. I don't know the year of his birth but he died in 1960-1962 (not exactly sure). My grandfather John married Nellie Kabala of Hempfield. John and Nellie had 2 children together (My father)John and his sister Eileen, who resides in Latrobe PA. Nellie had 3 more children following the death of my grandfather, David (Kamimski), Bob (Kaminski) and Tom (Kaminski). All of which still reside in Western PA.

: My father married Janice Keys of Youngstown PA in 1972. They had two children Angela Ashbaugh (1977) and my brother Michael Ashbaugh (1982). My father later went on to marry Patricia Glenn of Ligoneer PA in 1996 and he died a year later.

: This is basically all the info I have. It wasn't a very tight-knit family, to say the least. But I'd like to learn more if I can. Let me know if any of these names ring a bell.

: Best Regards,

: Angela Ashbaugh

About how old was your grandfather at his death?
