During the 1870s a William Ashbaugh lived in the growing hamlet of Huntsville, Ontario. The Huntsville Forester, founded in 1877 published poetic biographies of some the residents in 1877. A William Ashbough was described as having built the Orange Hall as well as being a merchant - It is believed he worked for Fisher & Goldie. He is not in the 1881 census so he had left the area by 1881. Anyone haave any idea who William Ashbaugh was - where he came from and where he went?? Thanks for your attention - Barbara Paterson
